Media Release, Wednesday 25 September 2019, Melbourne, Australia – Australia’s largest medicinal cannabis distributor and clinical research organisation, Cannvalate, has signed a memorandum of understanding for conducting novel cannabinoid research with Israeli specialist cannabis research firm Cannbit (TASE:CNBT).
Cannbit, is a $70M listed company on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and the firm’s head researcher Professor Raphael Mechoulam, is well known as the ‘father of medicinal cannabis’ for his original pioneering works on developing cannabis as a medicine.

Dr Sud Agarwal is an internationally recognised key opinion leader in the clinical use of medicinal cannabis and is regularly invited as a keynote to key industry and pharmaceutical events including the World Cannabis Conference and the Australian Medicinal Cannabis Conference.
Dr Agarwal is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Cannvalate, Australia’s first medically backed, medicinal cannabis company, focused on providing a seamless entry for global licensed producers of medicinal cannabis into the Australian market.
He was also recently appointed by Impression Healthcare (ASX:IHL) as chief medical officer and as a non-executive board director.
